Incentivize new logo versus revenue

While growing revenue, the company strategy might also be to increase market share and be in the logo grabbing business.

A good to align the reps with this strategy is to set up quotas based on number of logos.
Obviously, there are potential revenue implications with this approach which need to be taken into account and managed accordingly.

Some key questions to consider would be:

  • Have you seen any teams try this?
  • What guidelines around pricing / deal desk would be necessary to avoid a significant negative impact on revenue?
  • If not a logo quota, what else have you done?
